Juan Carlos Núñez

Juan Carlos joined Turisbus in June of 2012 and has been a freelance guide since 1988. Juan Carlos has worked as a guide across the globe, with experience working with some of the leading tour operators, including Adventure Life, Geographical Expeditions and Craft World Tours, Journey Latin America, and Explore the UK.

Juan Carlos is winner of the 1996 "Best Tour Guide of Bolivia" by the National Secretary of Tourism and nominated by Time Magazine as one of the "best 10 tour guides of the world".

A professor at the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo in La Paz, Juan Carlos is happy to be part of the team at Turisbus and believes that "the tour destinations are reliable, the premise is safety and the crew is ready to help."

Eduardo Laruta Salazar

Born and raised in La Paz, Eduardo Laruta Salazar has been guiding with Turisbus longer than any of our other guides. With over 20 years specializing in classic and adventure tours, Eduardo has an exceptional amount of experience and rare knowledge about the diverse Bolivian cultures and landscapes.

A member of a mestizo family with a strong tradition of local customs, Eduardo preserves and shares information about the archeology, herbalism, geology and history of Bolivia with his guests.

His many years of involvement with different ages, backgrounds and interests have allowed Eduardo to become an essential part of our team that consistently helps guests discover Bolivia beyond of any guidebook.
